Express Entry

Canada's Express Entry (EE) system is the primary application process for economic immigration, covering the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW), Canadian Experience Class (CEC), and Federal Skilled Trades (FST) programs. EE uses the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) to score candidates, with top-ranked applicants receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residency (PR). Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP); Canadian Experience Class（CEC); Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP).

STEP 1
Check Eligibility
Qualify under Federal Skilled Worker (FSW), Federal Skilled Trades (FST), or Canadian Experience Class (CEC). Score high enough in the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) (usually 470+ points for invitation);
STEP 2
Submit Express Entry Profile
Create an Express Entry profile on IRCC’s website with details like education, work experience, and language test scores (IELTS/CELPIP). After submission, you enter the candidate pool (valid for 12 months);
STEP 3
Receive Invitation to Apply (ITA)
IRCC conducts regular draws (every ~2 weeks), inviting high-scoring candidates. After receiving an ITA, you have 60 days to submit a complete application;
STEP 4
Submit PR Application
Upload all required documents, including: Passport/ID Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) Language test results Work reference letters Police clearance certificates Medical exam reports;
STEP 5
Wait for Approval
Processing time is typically under 6 months (for 80% of cases). After approval, you must land in Canada within 1 year to activate PR status.
