Employer Accreditation

Employers must obtain accreditation from Immigration NZ (INZ), proving compliance with hiring foreign workers.

STEP 2

Job Check

Employer submits job details to INZ, demonstrating: No suitable local candidates (labour market test).

STEP 3

Visa Application

Employee submits: Employment contract, skills evidence (qualifications/work experience); English test (e.g., IELTS 5.0 if required); Medical and police certificates.

STEP 4

Processing & Issuance

Processing time: 3u20136 months (1 month with priority service).AEWV: Valid up to 5 years.

STEP 5

Pathway to Residency

After 2 years of work, eligible applicants may apply for Residence Visa.
